Does this block read access for the other 5 at that time? If so, is it synchronized on the cache as a whole or individual objects?

Harshad.Harshadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10601608995090220783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6740338341177826314.post-24805640591907814152014-04-14T08:21:08.308+01:002014-04-14T08:21:08.308+01:00This comment has been removed by the author.Harshadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10601608995090220783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6740338341177826314.post-71812926328721147412014-04-09T18:08:34.224+01:002014-04-09T18:08:34.224+01:00Hi Bob, good to hear from you, it's been WAY t...Hi Bob, good to hear from you, it's been WAY too long.

Yes, I'd guess that what you're seeing in the heap IS related to the use of DynaCache.

Cheers, DaveDave Hayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10444759805764485699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6740338341177826314.post-33947065152090541132014-04-09T12:05:32.390+01:002014-04-09T12:05:32.390+01:00Hi Dave, during this project did you look into ana...Hi Dave, during this project did you look into analysing how much JVM heap is used by DynaCache?. I'm using IBM Heap analyser currently and I'm seeing several java.util.HashMap entries which I think are sections of heap allocated to Dynacache, however I would like to confirm this with someone who has carried out similar work.

Bob Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02220349064820348861noreply@blogger.com
