IBM Notes 9.0.1 and macOS 10.14 Mojave

If you're running IBM Notes 9.0.1 and have updated to macOS 10.14 Mojave, be aware that you'll also need to install the most recent hot fix for Notes: -

SPR #IFBTB4QLEJ is in MAC 64-bit 901IF16 and higher.  This fixes a Notes Client crash on the new Mojave OS.

aka: -

Notes 64-bit 9.0.1 IF16 Mac 64-bit Notes_901IF16_MAC64_Standard IBM_Notes_Hotfix_901SHF993.dmg

This iFix is available from IBM Fix Central here: -

Having applied this today, this is what I now have: -

and, more importantly, Notes and Mojave are playing nicely ……

Hi, I have something to ask, I am just a general client user, but be need an IBM subscription and the matching IBM account to download the fix from IBM Fix Central?

Is there any other way to get this fix?

Hi

Thanks for your comment - I am unsure as to how you can get the fix if your IBM ID is not associated with a valid Subscription and Support entitlement.

I've asked an IBM colleague for some advice, and hope to report back shortly.

Cheers, Dave

Just to confirm, the reason that you're required to authenticate via an IBM ID which is associated with an IBM S&S account, is that the updates for Notes are shipped as Feature Packs, which typically include new functionality as well as updates and fixes.

Therefore, you will need to work with your local helpdesk and/or IBM office to acquire access to a suitable S&S account.

IBM Passport Advantage has a help page here: -

https://www-01.ibm.com/software/passportadvantage/pao_process_help.html

which may be of some help.

Hope this is of some use, Dave

Still keep crashing at startup, even the upgrade to SFH993.

Hmmm, so far, it's been fine for me ( which doesn't help you, alas ).

Please work with IBM Support to see what's going on ....

Thanks for link to the update, worked great for us. Saved us a lot of time trying to work out the software stack required.

Hi,

Anyone could share a dropbox link to the IF16 fix please?

My company is using notes for legacy workflows only and doesn't have a support contract so I can't access to download it from IBM.

Thanks!

Hi Antonio

Alas, I believe you will need a support agreement to download this.

There is a help page on the IBM Fix Central site here: -

Fix Central Help

that MAY be of some use.

There's also a chat function on that page.

This page may also help: -

Q&A about downloading Notes/Domino & Sametime files from Fix Central

Hope you're able to make some progress.

hi I'm having trouble to download IF16, can someone send it to zacharylin45@hotmail.com please? thanks!

Zachary

As per previous comments on this post, I'd not recommend this approach, as it's licensed software. Also, it's likely to be larger than your Hotmail account would handle :-)

I'd suggest that you work with IBM Support to acquire the fix.

Cheers, Dave

Anyone could share a other link to the IF16 fix please? or share file to northlee1012@gmail.com

I can't download from IBM.

Thank everyone

Hi North

As per the previous comments, this is IBM proprietary software, so I'd avoid asking anyone to provide you with a copy via email etc.

Instead, please work with IBM Support to get a solution - https://www-01.ibm.com/software/passportadvantage/pao_process_help.html

Note to self - use kubectl to query images in a pod or deployment

In both cases, we use JSON ... For a deployment, we can do this: - kubectl get deployment foobar --namespace snafu --output jsonpath="{...
