This post describes this recently released asset from IBM - The Web Content Manager Social Media Publisher is a new extension to IBM Web Content Manager that allows businesses to promote their web content on social networks (as well as provide some basic statistics about the promoted content).

Web Content Manager Social Media Publisher 

What it is:

• The WCM Social Media Publisher is a new extension to WCM that allows businesses to promote their web content on social networks (as well as provide some basic statistics about the promoted content).

• This is quite different to the various badges you can add to websites to allow end-users to link/reshare web content to their social network followers.

• The solution supports both manual and automatic (via workflow) posting/promoting of content and can manage the full lifecycle of the social message ie. Can remove the social message when the WCM content is removed.

• Out of the box, the 'WCM Social Media Publisher' will support the following major social networks: IBM Connections; Facebook; LinkedIn; Twitter (see Readme or User Guide for specific versions supported).
